Hygiene Appointment
A hygiene appointment is typically a patient’s first interaction with us. From the moment you arrive, you will be greeted with a warm hello by our friendly office staff. After completing our initial paperwork, you will then meet with our Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) who will speak with you about your oral history and any concerns. The RDH will then take initial digital x-rays and complete a thorough cleaning of your teeth.
Next, Dr. Lowe will do a comprehensive oral exam using our state-of-the-art intra-oral camera to view the condition of your gums and teeth. With every adult, Dr. Lowe also will perform an oral cancer screening, and periodontal and hard tissue examination.
After reviewing the results of this examination and any tests completed during your initial visit, Dr. Lowe will meet with you to review his findings, including any diagnoses and suggestions for your individualized treatment.
A team effort: Together, you and Dr. Lowe will customize and prioritize your treatment needs, if any, according to each individual patient’s comfort level and budget.

KaVo Air Abrasion
Using a high-powered airborne stream of micro-fine powder, air abrasion technology or needle-free fillings removes decay from a small area of a tooth without drills, needles, noise or pain. Air abrasion technology is relatively new in dentistry, yet has proven successful in treating small and early-detected cavities. With little or no heat and no vibration, air abrasion technology can also be used to repair small chips and to remove small discolorations or stains on teeth.
Regular check-ups can often detect decay at its earliest stages. Air abrasion technology is perfect for children—no drilling, needle-free and relatively painless. As always, regular dental cleanings and exams are important in detecting cavities early on that can be treated by air abrasion.

NTI Suppression System
Headache suffers take heed. NTI Suppression System may be your answer. This new technology may prevent medically diagnosed migraine pain, tension headaches, jaw disorders (“TMJ”) and teeth clenching/grinding without drugs or surgery. More than just a mouthguard, the NTI device is a custom-fabricated mouthpiece retrofitted to each unique patient. Worn while sleeping, the device snaps into place and fits comfortably on either the upper or lower front teeth. If you suffer from frequent headaches, give us a call. Sleep Medicine
Is snoring or sleep apnea keeping you awake at night? Dr. Lowe is now specially trained to treat patients with chronic snoring or obstructive sleep apnea conditions that keep patients from getting a good night’s rest. Upon referral from a certified sleep apnea physician, Dr. Lowe will utilize Oral Appliance Therapy to select and custom-fit a specially designed oral appliance worn during sleep. This appliance helps prevent the collapse of the tongue and soft tissues in the back of the throat, keeping the airway open during sleep and promoting adequate air intake. Dreamland can be a reality. Electric Hand Piece
If your treatment needs are more extensive and require the use of a dental drill, we have an electric hand piece that will make your experience more comfortable and pleasant. Conventional dental drills are air driven, and produce that familiar and dreaded high-speed whining sound. Our electric drill is not air driven, and is nearly silent making your experience in the dental chair more comfortable and less stressful. Also, because of its powerful electric motor, we can often finish procedures in less time than with a conventional drill. Ask us for a demonstration. We think you’ll be impressed.

Treatment Room TVs
The little things mean a lot, particularly for our youngest patients. For added comfort, we have added televisions in every treatment room. Noise canceling headphones are available to block out any extraneous noise and keep you feeling relaxed while we do our work. Sit back in our comfortable treatment room chairs, tune in and lose yourself in your favorite program while your dental treatment is completed. Our neck pillows and booster seats for the kids make the experience just that much more comfortable.

Clear, comfortable and convenient. By using a series of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign straightens your teeth with results you’ll notice sooner than you think.
